The Yamaha Stage Custom Steel Snare Drum is a loud, punchy snare drum with powerful highs and an intense projection. It’s made of solid steel, which results in a loud sound that is a staple of metal drums.
The drum comes with triple-flanged hoops, leaving the sound wide open to ring and resonate, and its 45-degree bearing edge helps ensure a balanced resonance as well. Durable lugs and a strong design means it can be tuned to extra-high tensions, which can get that tight “crack” sound you’re after.
20-strand steel snare wires ensure a wet snare sound at low and high dynamic levels, and a responsive sound for ghost notes and rim shots alike. This drum is great for heavier genres or church gigs, where projection is key and a bright snare sound will benefit the mix.
