vintage-inspired electric with offset appeal
Influenced by the iconic heritage and eccentric shapes of vintage Guilds, the all-new Guild Surfliner compliments the brand lineage by combining classic styling with modern features in an offset, solid-body electric. Available in Sunset Orange, Catalina Blue, and White Sage, the Surfliner features an entirely new solid body platform that crosses subtle offset styling with the vintage lines of 1960s and 1970s Guilds.
One of Guild’s few electric models to feature a 25.5” scale length and bolt-on neck, the combination pairs nicely with a Guild LB-1 “Little Bucker” in the bridge position and all-new DeArmond Aerosonic single coils in the middle and neck positions. Premium pickups give the Surfliner a wide array of tones, from crisp and jangly to thick and full when overdriven.
Voicings are driven by the Guild Rocker Pickup Switching System, featuring an on/off switch for each pickup, allowing a total of seven pickup combinations. Rounded out with a master volume and tone, medium jumbo frets, 3-ply pickguard, and a Guild logo resurrected from the 1980s

One of Guild’s few electric models to feature a 25.5” scale length, the longer string length pairs nicely with three pickups that offer everything from chiming, spanky lead tones to thick, compressed rhythm. Classic, vintage humbucking bridge tones ooze out of the Guild LB-1 bridge pickup and bring a usable array of tones from sparkly clean single coil-esque spank to thick and warm humbucker sounds that fatten and sing when driven. Blending perfectly with the biting single-coil tones of the two new Dearmond Aerosonic middle and neck pickups.
guild’s rocker pickup switching system offers easy access to 7 pickup combinations
The Surfliner’s sound is driven by the Guild Rocker Pickup Switching System, with master volume, tone control, and 3 rocker switches. Each rocker switch is assigned to a single pickup allowing players to dial in a total of 7 pickup combinations, every possible combination available from the three pickups.
The LB-1 Bridge pickup is a recreation of vintage Guild Humbuckers from the 60’soffering a range of tones well-suited for a variety of playing styles and genres. The middle and neck pickups are matched set of Dearmond Aerosonicmiddle and neck single-coil pickups. These pickups feature Alnico V magnets and a shielded nickel cover.
