ตัวเครื่อง Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3RD GEN) ทำจากวัสดุอลูมิเนียมคุณภาพดีสีแดงสดใสตัดกับสีดำอันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของแบรนด์ Focusrite ปุ่มทำจากพลาสติกสีดำ รอบบริเวณปุ่มกดจะมีไฟแสดงช่อง Gain เป็นสีเขียวและสีแดง ข้อดีของรุ่นนี้คือใช้งานง่าย พกพาสะดวก ไม่ต้องใช้ Adaptor ให้ยุ่งยาก เพียงเชื่อมต่อ USB ก็สามารถใช้งานได้ คุณภาพเสียงอยู่ในระดับมาตรฐาน ใช้งานได้จริง แต่ก็มีข้อควรระวังที่ ProPlugin แนะนำคือตอนบันทึกเครื่องดนตรี ต้องปรับ Switch ที่ Ins เท่านั้น เพื่อเหมาะเเก่สัญญาณของเครื่องดนตรี เพื่อเป็นการรักษาภาควงจรภายในไม่ให้เกิดความเสียหาย
