Wood
Koa Series used Acacia Taiwan as a top, back and side wood.
Acacia Taiwan – It is a hard dense wood with a beautiful unique wood grain. Acacia Taiwan brings with it a clear crisp high and a lavish full mid-range sound similar to that of mahogany. It is also a wood that sounds progressively distinguished as it ages and delivers a deeper resonating tone. The look and sound of Koa make people adore this exquisite wood.
At aNueNue when we use Acacia Taiwan for our ukulele (Top/Back/Sides), we place the exotic looking koa veneers at each side and for the center we use Poplar wood to ensure that the whole construction is light weight, stable and climate adaptable.

The Maple binding serve to protect the edges of the wood from impact.
Headstock
The Koa Series has an aNueNue Rainbow classic-headstock design made with a koa veneer in laser-etched logo. The tuners with 1:14 gear ratio for precise tuning.
Fretboard
Rosewood is a hard tone wood that with open pores. It’s a stable wood to be a fretboard, and also adaptable to climate changes. The fret positions is designed with LumiNova material Shining Stars-shaped. The 17-frets design allows for endless tonal possibilities.
Bridge / Saddle
The square oval-shaped rosewood bridge helps support the string tension. The Synthetic Bone for the nut which is very hard and articulate. This helps the strings to vibrate and to have a deep resonance.

String / Gigbag / Pickup
Aquila New Nylgut ® strings are made of white Nylgut from Italy. Nylgut is a synthetic material that is intended to combine the best qualities of nylon and gut strings. The strings are easy to play, good for strumming and have a warm tone.
aNueNue Rainbow Gigbag is made of 600D cloth and designed the case with 10mm of thickness for extra protection. There’s a front pocket for easy storage. There’s also both a side handle, and backpack-style straps, to make it easy to carry.
aNueNue Mini U Pickup is design to produce the clear and transparent tone of Ukulele. Mini U is friendly to use with (Vol) only. It’s unique, discrete design class a circuit, delivers low distortion, low noise, and dynamic tone. Low power operation with a CR2032 coin battery.
